Under the patronage of the Egyptian Tennis Federation, Palm Club 6 October is hosting the Palm Aroussy Tennis Academy (PATA) under-ten and under-eight competitions. The competition was held from January 31st to February 7th, and featured a total of 77 players split between the two events.
The competition is the first to take place as part of a new Play + Stay campaign, a competition format being implemented in top tennis-playing nations across the world including the UK, France, Holland and Belgium as well as the USA. Egypt is only the second nation in Africa to launch the Play + Stay campaign.
The competition was attended by Israa El Sanhoury, ETF Chairman, Soliman El Hakim, Palm Club General Manager, and numerous guests including parents of the players. The prizes given were 15,000 pounds distributed across the top four winners as well as trophies, and the winners were:
