Cairo, 4th May, 2009 - Palm Hills Developments (PHD) and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company L.L.C. have signed an agreement to commence with the planned operation of The Ritz-Carlton Cairo, Palm Hills located within PHD’s flagship project, Palm Hills October. The signing took place today in an official ceremony at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai.
PHD chairman and CEO Yasseen Mansour and Simon Cooper, president and chief operating officer of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. signed the agreement amongst senior Ritz-Carlton and PHD personnel in the presence of a select number of the media.
“This partnership with The Ritz-Carlton further demonstrates PHD’s commitment as a company that seeks to offer the highest quality of service and hospitality to our residents and guests. We look forward to the fruits of this successful agreement,” said Mr. Yasseen Mansour.
The Ritz-Carlton Cairo, Palm Hills is a 160-room hotel, and will offer a range of luxurious rooms and suites with breathtaking views over the great Pyramids of Giza, a 27-hole golf course exclusively designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus, a variety of fine-dining restaurants, a spa and state-of-the art ballroom and extensive meeting facilities.
The hotel’s Golf Club will include a dedicated concierge service as well as spacious meeting rooms, with stylish modern dining rooms featuring upscale cuisine. The all-day dining room, lobby lounge, poolside grill and two speciality restaurants all feature exquisite menus and stylish interiors.
The Ritz-Carlton Cairo, Palm Hills will also feature a spacious 1,115 square metre spa exuding luxurious style and comfort, within which the tranquil environment will provide a complete escape which fuses healing therapies and relaxation. A health club and two outdoor swimming pools will also be present, providing recreational areas for a wide range of activities.
For corporate travellers visiting, the resort will boast impressive meeting and function spaces, including a 1,400 square metre grand ballroom, a junior ballroom and five multi-purpose function rooms.
